What Is A Niche?

A Niche in business or commerce is a broader term for a specific area of interest.

A Niche Market is a focused or targeted subsection of a broader niche.

A a Micro Niche is an even smaller part of the niche market, sometimes referred to as the long tail.

An example: If the niche is “Little League” then the niche market would be “Little League Baseball” and a micro niche could be “Little League Approved Bats.”

To analyze consumer demand for each area of a niche we will do keyword research. In our example we come up with the following monthly search results.

Little League = 33,100

Little League Baseball = 8,100

Little League Approved Bats = 4,400

The best area of a niche to use for creating a profitable Affiliate Marketing Blog is the Micro Niche.  The reason is that the competition is far less, the traffic is more targeted to a specific product or service, and this results in a faster profit.
